Played with a Twister game this afternoon. I taught Rob how to really play (which was highly entertaining to watch), but I used it to teach Drew colors (i.e. hop to green...hop to blue). Then Drew had to copy brother and show off his best Twister pose.

Zaycon Foods

I couldn't recommend Zaycon Foods more. We have purchased chicken breasts from them twice now for only $1.79/lb and the are delicious - and HUGE! You definitely get your money's worth! I'm curious to try their other products, but if their chicken is any indication, I'm sure the rest is amazing, too.

Drew's Birthday

After a great week of visiting with Matt's folks and doing my sister-in-law's senior photos, we said good-bye to them on Saturday morning and proceeded to celebrate Drew's birthday. I can't believe this little guy is THREE!

To start things off, we received a package from Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Roger. It was a brand new tricycle! (We had wanted to get it for him, but couldn't afford it.) So, we took off for Walmart to pick out a helmet; Drew picked out a Hot Wheels one, of course. Then we loaded up the truck (Charlotte included) and headed down to the school down the way and let the boys ride their bikes. This was Drew's first time on a bike, so teaching him how to pedal was an interesting experience. But he's slowly getting it. Just needs to work those muscles!

Biking in the Sunshine

If you're from Idaho, then you know if the sun is out and it's above 60°, you MUST go outside and enjoy it before it snows. So, we did just that.

Rob was so happy to see his bike again!

More Miss Charlotte

I'm happy to report that Miss Charlotte is settling in quite nicely. She's warmed up to us quite a bit, has started playing, and got a little tag with her name and my info on it. Guess it's official, now! Friday, she goes in to be spayed; a necessary evil.

We just love her sooo much! I never, ever pictured myself owning a Chihuahua, but she definitely has stolen my heart.

 

Charlotte

This is Miss Charlotte. Charlotte has come to live with us. Charlotte is quite scared of us, but we love her already and are willing to be patient and quiet for her in order for her to get comfortable. Sweet Charlotte.

 We got to go to Hop 2 It for a Homeschooler's Valentine's Day get-together. They got to bounce around for a couple hours and then passed out valentines to each other. I made the boys' mailbox, which is a valentine-eating monster. I'm not great with paper, but I was fairly proud of my box.

Finished Desk

Well, the desk is officially DONE and it is marvelous! I think Rob agrees. 

The pictures really don't do it justice!

Fully installed and ready to rock. Just have to wait for the polyurethane to fully cure before we actually start using it.

Shelves for the boys' school books and craft supplies.

 Space for the tower and baskets underneath for more storage.

 It's just so yummy! Good job on your first staining project, honey! I'm so spoiled. =)

Mister already has plenty more projects in mind. I think I could get used to this!

New Desk - Progress

 Nine feet long, two work stations, a filing cabinet, and two storage spaces that will have shelves. It will replace our computer desk, printer table, and storage cabinets. Oh, and be totally awesome.

I'd like to note that my wonderful husband has built this from scratch. Minus the filing cabinet, of course. He is really starting to enjoy woodworking. Who knew?

Working With Daddy

I snuck out to the shed while my two big boys were working hard on sanding parts of our new desk. We're roughly going off this desk we came across on Pinterest. Can't wait!

I made this afghan for one of my dearest and closest friends for her birthday. I'm really quite pleased with the way it turned out. Definitely one of my most favorite afghans to date. I'm fairly certain she liked it, too. =)

Got this really cute set of 10 little finger puppets for the boys. Big hit!

Reward System

To encourage Rob in his school work, we've created this reward system. Work completed neatly without argument = one ball/day. 10 balls by payday = dairy-free froyo at Kiwi Loco or a trip to Dollar Tree. He is VERY excited about it and did awesome today. Hopefully he keeps it up.

If anything, they make a cute craft room decoration.

Why crochet balls? I didn't have ten of something, but I do have tons of yarn. =)
