Robby, the nine-month-old. My goodness - nine months has flown by! This past month has been very busy for Robby. He's now crawling, pulling up, sitting up from a crawling position and vice versa, drinking from a sippy cup (hasn't used a bottle in two weeks, now), begs for food off of your plate (he's worse than any dog), will climb all over you if you lay on the floor, and is finally starting to get a tooth in! He's also started saying "dada" and is slowly getting the corellation between that "sound" and Matt. Usually when Matt gets home from work, Robby will sit on his lap and say "da...da...da...da..." over and over again or he'll sit there and say it over and over again to get Matt's attention. It's really cute. He's starting to understand simple commands, such as "no", "come here", and will dance in his high chair when you say "dance, dance, dance!". He'll follow you to any room if you'll let him and will come find you in another room if you call him. He's starting to understand how things work, like more complicated toys (i.e. this button makes this sound happen, this button makes this light up). He absolutely loves being outside and especially loves to crawl around in the grass. He thinks it's fun to explore and study leaves and twigs on the ground. He is such a joy and is a lot of fun to play with! It just keeps getting better and better!

We have a YouTube channel, now. I wanted ALL our videos in one place (part of Robby's videos were on Matt's MySpace and the other were on mine), so the link to Robby's videos has been changed. Otherwise, you can find our channel here:

I Can Photoshop That...
I stumbled across an ad in one of my "new mommy packets" for a birthday keepsake...thing...awhile back and I remember thinking, "Oh, I can make one of those!". Well, that was close to nine months ago, and I ended up stumbling across the ad again and again I thought, "Oh, I can make one of those!". This time, I actually did it - and for a lot less!
The company that makes these products offered a framed run-down of your child's birthday for $9.99. I did all the necessary research, put it together in Photoshop, printed it out on some card stock, framed in in spare frame, and voila! Instant keepsake for free! I'm actually quite proud of myself. I plan on hanging it in Robby's room. Click either image to preview.

I am getting terrible at this.
Updates - Robby's now crawling and pulling up on things as of last week. Last week was hectic because of these milestones! I was either chasing after him or barricading off all the possible places he could pull up on. He just decided to do everything all in one week! It is really entertaining to watch him try to crawl as fast as he can. He's been doing a lot of "speed trials" on our new area rug, since it's shorter and easier to move around on than our carpet. He loves exploring other rooms, now. He'll come find you in the bathroom if you'll let him. He's eating like crazy (or crazier, I should say!) - so much so that we had to purchase a food processor to start making his meals. Baby food was just getting way too expensive! Our boy can rip through a whole sweet potato in nothing flat and not even blink...and then want more!
We had a really nice Easter. We went to communion service at church on Good Friday. The nursery wasn't open, so we had to have Robby sitting with us, which is always a bit of a chore. He always wants to talk over Pastor Bear and sing along with us. Everyone's really nice and understanding about it, but it's really quite stressful for Matt and I. Good sermon, though. Saturday we went to Buhl to hang out with my folks and target shoot again. Grams got Robby a couple of Easter gifts - a Little Superstar Classical Stacker and some Peek-a-Blocks. Nana, of course, put more money into his savings account - still very much appreciated! Sunday we went to church (of course) and listened to a great sermon. After, we went home for a quick and overdue family photo, gathered our infamous Andes Mint brownies, and headed over to the pastor's house for a pot'faith'. We had a wonderful time talking, eating, and (for Matt) playing an exciting game of kickball. Robby passed through so many hands - what a lucky little boy! But it was really wearing on him, so we had to leave sooner than we had hoped. We went home, crashed for a few hours, and then headed back out to Buhl for more target shooting and family time. By the time we got home, we were absolutely bushed! What a busy weekend!
As for Matt and I, it's been work, Robby, shutterbuggin', target shootin', and church. The only two we get to spend time together doing is shutterbuggin' and shootin', it seems. Matt's really starting to get serious about photography, which is fantastic, but we find ourselves fighting over "the good camera" (the new Canon). Needless to say, we saved up and will be ordering another Canon PowerShot SX10 IS soon. I finally sold some prints for the first time in a LONG time, too! And target shooting - well, that's just plain fun. I'm completely hooked and am improving each time we go out. I used to be absolutely terrified of guns, but now I jump at the chance to shoot anytime I can! Other than that, we were asked to teach Sunday school together. We were incredibly honored! We're still prayerfully considering this opportunity, so nothing's set in stone, but we were told that we were recomended. Wow. Very flattering, yet unnerving at the same time! We'll just have pray and see where God wants us. Speaking of God moving us - we have been thinking of trying to move into a rental house - although, we haven't had the time to look lately. We'll have to sign another lease for our current apartment by Wednesday, so it won't be anytime soon that we'd be moving. I hate moving anyways. I'm praying that when the right house with the right rent presents itself, God will make it happen. We go on vacation to Matt's folks' in about a month, so we're prepping for that. My step-mom and dad will be coming to visit us sometime next month, as well. We're really excited to see everyone! Can't wait to get some awesome shots while in the gorgeous state of Colorado! And as for Biggest Loser - we just haven't had time. We've been active and watching what we eat, but just haven't had time or energy to do our exercising schedules. Thankfully, this is the last week before final weigh-in and then it will be done. Our hobbies seem to keep us outside and active, so hopefully we'll keep losing weight and getting healthy well after the competition is done. Also, my boys were made famous recently. I took a picture of Matt and Robby watching Wretched on the computer and sent it into the show, thinking that they would just get a chuckle out of it. Next thing we know, a friend tells us that their picture was on the front page of their website! Life with the two celebs hasn't been the same since...okay, maybe it has.
That's all for now, as far as I can remember. I can't promise when my next post will be since things are getting busier and busier. It seems like the warmer the weather gets, the busier we get! Until next time.
